Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before buying and activating an OperaMetrix module for Ignition.
Can I try a module before buying it?
Yes. Download the .modl file from the module page and install it on your gateway: Ignition runs unlicensed modules in trial mode, which can be reset at will. Buy the license when you are ready for production.
How does the perpetual license work?
Each license is perpetual and bound to an Ignition gateway (the number of included activations is stated on the product page). You keep the right to use the acquired version indefinitely, even without active maintenance.
How do I activate my license on my gateway?
After payment, your license key is sent by email and available in “My account → My licenses”. Enter it in the module configuration on your Ignition gateway: activation happens online, in seconds.
What does annual maintenance include?
Maintenance (16% of the module price per year) gives access to all module updates and technical support. It renews automatically each year and can be cancelled anytime from “My account → Billing”, effective at the end of the current period.
Which Ignition versions are the modules compatible with?
Compatibility (Ignition 8.1 and later depending on the module) is stated on each product page. Signed .modl files install on standard and Edge editions when specified.
How are VAT and invoicing handled?
Prices are shown excluding VAT. Applicable VAT is calculated at checkout based on your billing country; VAT-registered EU customers (outside France) can enter their VAT number for reverse charge. A PDF invoice is available for every order in “My orders”.
What if the module does not work in my environment?
Open a ticket from your account or write to support@operametrix.com: our team will help you. If a blocking issue cannot be resolved, you can request a refund of the license within 30 days of purchase.
Can I move a license to another gateway?
Yes. Deactivate the license from “My licenses” (or contact support if the gateway is no longer reachable), then activate it on the new gateway.
